Rachel and Jonathan Wed in Atlanta
Rachel Ellen Sonenshine and Jonathan Halitsky, who met while working at an advertising agency in New York, were married November 15 in the Buckhead Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Atlanta.
The ceremony was performed by Rabbi Joshua Heller, of Congregation B'nai Torah in Atlanta.
In the wedding program, Rachel and Jonathan wrote of their courtship:
"Boys meets girl. Boy befriends girl. Boy and girl grow closer through
good times and bad. Boy and girl fall in love. Today they wed."
Rachel is the daughter of Stanley and Debbie Sonenshine of Atlanta. Jonathan is the son of Richard and Babs Halitsky of Marlboro , New Jersey.
Carlyn Neuman was Matron of Honor and David Baker the Best Man. Bridesmiads were Eden Cohen, Marisa Guarino, Taly Kaplan and Emily Kline. Groomsmen were Jason Cohen, Michael Kaplan and Matthew Levine.
Matthew Kaplan and Myles Kaplan, Jonathan's nephews, were ring bearers.
The weekend festivities began Friday night with a rehearsal dinner --Southern style-- at the King Plow Arts Center.
A continental breakfast was offered Saturday morning in the hospitality suite of the Ritz.
Following the weddding ceremony there was a coctail hour and a seated dinner, with dancing in the Grand Ballroom of the Ritz, for the 215 guests.
A buffet brunch at the Ritz concluded the weekend festivities.
The couple took a short honeymoon to Cayman Island and will follow this up next year with a trip to South Africa .
Rachel,a graduate of George Washington, is working for Google in New York
and Jonathan, a Syracuse University graduate, for an ad agency
in New York.
