Kenneth's Eulogy to His Mom

Please bear with me as i try to expound on how Stanley has beautifully described mom.

She was an incredible person inside and out. We did not lack for anything materialistic, we were brought up in a very spiritual home and through mom and dad we learned the importance of family…to respect our wives ,honor our religion, be good to others and most importantly be honest. We had the good fortune of seeing the importance of life through our parents.

As Stanley mentioned, mom did have a few quirk’s. She did bring only one serving to the table for dinner for everyone and the plate was very white. I truly did not learn about vegetables until I later married.

There is no one better about keeping kosher than mom. We would have been a little wealthier if we had bought stock in comet. Mom scrubbed the counter tops separating the meat and milk so much that the actual color became white. We were really bad about late night snacks of corned beef sandwiches, and before mom went to bed the dish was washed, counter tops cleaned and ready for the milk breakfast in the morning.

I did attempt to give mom a kiss upon arriving home for Passover and she turned her cheek, told me to brush my teeth because we had stopped at Piggy Park before coming home.

.There are too many other wonderful things to tell about mom at this time.Having her with us in Atlanta was a treat and blessing. After being in Charleston for 91 years, she really did not give us a hard time about leaving. Mother’s Day 2014, she and I got in the car and left Charleston behind. Her life without dad, may he rest in peace, was a new place and style of living after so many years ….new friends, different driving, so many other things to adapt to and she did great.

We were able to enjoy so many nice things having her in Atlanta for her final years. We recently celebrated with mom a beautiful Passover and Sharon’s 65th birthday which she seemed to really joy! Mom, go in peace and take care of everyone in the other world. Dad and Gerald are waiting to embrace you.

You gave us your best for 99 years. We all love you and will remember you and dad forever. We all would also like to thank our caregivers Lucy and Haoua for taking such good care of mom. They loved her like family. Mom , I love you and thank you for teaching me how valuable life and family is. I will miss you.
