The Parties

The scene at the Friday night "Souther Dinner Party" at the home of Alana's parents, Stan and Helen. Along with
fried chicken, corn bread, and brown-sugared-crusted sweet potatoes, there was a pot of boiled peanuts, or as
one visitor from New Jersey told a companion, "Come, you should see the peanuts in juice."
